A wind mitigation inspection is a smaller report that is desired by an insurance company. The report is only good for 5 years and is mainly used to help the insurance company determine "how will your household up after a big storm". We inspect a number of areas such as the shape of your roof, and the length and spacing of nails, located in the attic. We also look to see if your home has hurricane impact-rated windows or doors. All of this information is collected and placed on a 4-page, State of Florida form. Once the insurance company reviews and assesses the risk, you may potentially receive discounts or credits on your annual premium.
